Contemplation......

Its the weekend.. The kids are excited, no school for two days.  :)  I sit at the computer and contemplate the tyranny of the urgent.  What SHOULD I get done with my weekend, and what do I WANT to do with my weekend.  I sometimes have to ponder my priorities.
I am so ready for spring, I WANT to go dig up my frozen garden and get started, but know that would be a waste of time, it is still February. :)  Though early or not I have some tiny pepper starts in my kitchen already popping their heads through the soil....looking for sunshine.  A little like me, I guess.  I do love the change of seasons, and am ready for this one.
 When I was a little girl, time went so slowly...winter lasted forever.  Now winter is a quick blink..a slightly chilly one.  My kids are growing, so very quickly also.  The seasons of their lives are changing at the same speed.  All of them are out of diapers, have started school, learning to read and slowly gaining independence.  I look forward to the seasons they are entering but wish to hold them there too.  I am better with some change than I am others.
   With that being said, I know what I am doing today.  There three little people that want to go outside.  We won't plant the garden, but will enjoy the day.  Time is marching on, and I don't want to miss it.
